This Page is all about Planting for the Smaller Garden, Window Ledge Boxes, Patio Containers and old Plant Pots of various types. The under mentioned varieties are my personal choice. There are of course many other suppliers and variety's available.
The planting guides stated are variable to your countries conditions. Spelling is in English, so visitors from the U.S.A. may find what they consider mistakes.

BEETROOT The Variety- Bolthardy- my personal choice for an Early sowing  due to its resistance to 'Bolting' or going to seed. Good for sowing middle of March to July at 4 inches apart either in the ground or an old car tire.
Nice freshly Boiled or Good for pickling or freezing

ROCKET  Peppery Flavoured leaf for mixing in with a leaf salad or as a garnish. Great in Sandwiches.
Cut and come again sow April to August-every 2 to 3 weeks for continuity. Ground or containers

BROCCOLI. Early Purple Sprouting. A very cold Hardy winter vegetable one of the few edible plants available over the winter period.
Heavy Cropping and very nutricious. Cut shoots for use when 6 inches long.
                             Sow-March to May

That having been said leads nicely into Flowers from Seed
Cat Grass especially for Indoor Cats

This is good if you have a Cat which you prefer to keep in the house.
CAT GRASS rapidly growing shoots which can be beneficial to your cat.
Indoor sowing (Year round) in Pots or seed tray of compost.
Keep height to 2-3 inches-cut with scissors

Beetroot  Bolthardy

LETTUCE LEAVES -Mixed.  A Variety of mixed shapes, textures and colours which form the basis of a leaf salad. Baby leaves can be pulled or cut up to four times and will grow back again.
Plants may be left to mature if you wish. Sow March onwards containers or ground

BASIL   Variety-Sweet Genovese for use in Salads, Soups and Pasta. Grow indoors-year round-Outdoors May to June. Harvest Leaves as required.
Pots , Containers and ground

PARSNIP. White Gem- Short rooted variety and therefore suitable for pots , containers or ground. Smooth white skin and shows considerable resistance to Canker.
                             Sow-February to April

Radish. Sparkler 3 . Bright Red almost round with white tips. Crisp, crunchy and mild flavour. For continuity sow every two to three weeks.
                  Sow-February to September

Patio and Indoor Gardens

These are a few of the plants in a corner of the garden which are the results of seeds from the above collection.

Peas    Spring Onions    Mixture of Lettuce and Rocket      Radish , which need to be thinned out

23rd May.  A few more days of sunshine and these will be ready.
Straw and slug pellets have been put below fruit to keep them clear of the wet ground and deter Slugs
